Mary Jo Gordon age 78, of Webb City passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. She was born on March 22, 1936 in Webb City to Merle Riddle and Rosa Bell Ford Riddle. Mrs. Gordon was a home maker; she lived in Bakersfield, California before moving back to Webb City in 1956. Mary attended Webb City Schools and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church of Webb City where she was a very active member.
Mrs. Gordon was married to Bob Gordon on September 4, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 1958. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Bud Riddle and John Riddle; a sister Eva Yearwood.
Survivors include a daughter Rosa Seeley of Joplin; sisters Betty Witt of Webb City and Laura Ringler of Joplin; grandchildren Rose Mary Miller of Carthage and Rick Seeley Jr. of Oronogo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home of Webb City with Rev. Gary Balfour officiating with burial at the Webb City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Seeley Sr., Rick Seeley Jr., Terry Witt, Bill Witt, James Zickefoose and Phillip Zickefoose. Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
