Kathryn Louise Smith, age 82, of Stockton, MO died unexpectedly at her home, Thursday, March 5, 2015.
Kathryn was born May 14, 1932 at Lamar, MO to Frank and Opal (Washburn) Greiner and attended schools in Lamar. After school, she married Donald Ray “Duke” Smith at Lamar. She had worked as a bank teller in the different places they lived throughout the Midwest, but her real job was being a homemaker. She loved her flower gardens, crafting, being a seamstress, and raising their children. Kathryn attended Church on the Hill, in Stockton.
Survivors include her husband “Duke” of the home; two daughters, Diann Collier and her husband Bob of Kansas City, MO and Donna Kelly and her husband Mike of Bryan, OH; one sister Deane Harris of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren, Patrick, Shaun, Shannon, David, and John; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother Bud and a sister Norma, and an infant daughter, Carol Louise Smith.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday, March 9, 2015 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Lake Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am Monday until service time.
