Lanett C. Wisehart, 97, Carthage, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage. Lanett Charlotta Schnake was born February 3, 1918 in rural Stotts City, MO; the daughter of the late William Schnake and Selma (Meyer) Schnake. She married Henry Franklin Wisehart on June 15, 1941 in LaRussell, MO; he preceded her in death on January 26, 2013. Mrs. Wisehart was a homemaker and also worked in housekeeping for St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Carthage.
Survivors include a daughter; Kay (Gene) Vandever, Bella Vista, AR; a son-in-law, Kenny Adams, Carthage; a granddaughter, Kendall (Cecil) Howard, Carthage and a great grandson, Justin Howard, Carthage. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter, Jeannie Adams.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Regional Hospice of Joplin.
