William “Bill” Heckmaster, age 89, of Carthage passed away Monday April 20, 2015 at his home.
Bill was born March 12, 1926 in Richey, MO to John D. Heckmaster and Grace “Stansbury” Heckmaster. He was a long time resident of Carthage. He had worked at Nabisco for 33 years. Bill was a Navy Seabee and WWII Veteran. He enjoyed wood working and fishing.
Bill is survived by his two sons, David Heckmaster of Neosho, MO, Dan Heckmaster of Mt. Vernon, MO, one sister Louetta Fredrick, seven grandchildren, Scott Heckmaster, Jonathan Heckmaster, Vanessa and Victoria Heckmaster, Don and Erica Lechner, Lori McCracken, and Leslie Taffner. He is preceded in death by his parents, two Brothers, John Heckmaster, Jr., Jimmy Heckmaster, and two sisters, Mabel Garrett and Eva Daniels.
The body was taken for cremation and there is no service planned at this time.
