James H. Patterson, Jr., 71, Neosho, died April 13, 2015 at Freeman Hospital in Neosho, following an illness.
James was born January 15, 1944 in Neosho and was a lifelong area resident. He had worked at Griffin Grocer Warehouse, City Service Gas, Teledyne and then at Jarden in the shipping department, retiring in July 2014. He served as caretaker of the Hazelwood Cemetery and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Neosho.
James married Shirlee Marica on Aug. 28, 1967 in Webb City and she survives. Also surviving are four children, Robert Patterson and wife, Kelley of Diamond; Robin Albright and husband, Shawn; Vonda Patterson and Jamie Patterson, all of Neosho; one sister, Mary Patterson of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, 3 nieces and 2 nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James H. Patterson, Sr. and Mayme Gage Patterson and a brother, William Lee Patterson.
