Jeanie Doyle

Jeanina Marie (Jeanie) Doyle, age 62 of Joplin, passed away at her home at 11:12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 after a five-year illness with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

Born March 10, 1953 in Hutchinson, KS, she was the daughter of the late A. (Gene) Calentine and Betty Louise King Calentine and had lived in Joplin since 1991, moving from San Diego, CA where she had lived 20 years. Jeanie graduated from Nickerson (KS) High School and worked ten years as a Customer Service Manager of Mervyn's Department Store in San Diego. She was a good Navy wife and her main focus was as a homemaker and mother. She was also an avid San Diego Chargers fan.

On October 1, 1971, she married Michael William Doyle at Sterling, KS. He survives.

Additional survivors include a son, David B. Doyle of Joplin; two brothers, Jerry Calentine and wife Loretta of Granite City, IL, Ron Calentine and wife Marge of Diamond, MO; three sisters, Judy Johnson and husband Don of Joplin, Becky Morgan and husband Tony of Altoona, KS, Shari New of Galena, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were and infant daughter, Cassandra Marie Doyle in 1977 and a brother-in-law, Allen New.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Parker Mortuary, after which, the family will receive friends. Her cremation interment will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to www.curepsp.org.
