Jeanette Johnson

Jeanette Mae Johnson, 80, Carthage, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage.  Jeanette Mae Tracy was born February 6, 1935 in Richland County, Wisconsin; a daughter of the late William McKinley Tracy and Emma Bolint Tracy.  She was a graduate of Muscoda High School, Muscoda, WI, received her B.S. and M.S. degree in elementary education from University of Wisconsin, Platteville, WI.  She was an elementary teacher in Richland County, WI.  She married James Johnson on May 28, 1955 in Richland County and they were married for 59 years.  She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Carthage, MO.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Johnson, Carthage; a daughter, Janet (Rick) Keller, Oronogo, MO; two grandchildren, Janae (Ben) Dodson, Clinton, MO and Jordan Keller, Oronogo, MO; one great grandson, Aiden Dodson, Clinton, MO.  Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Ruth Miller, three brothers; Clifford, Joseph and Robert Tracy.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 – 2:00 PM, Friday, April 24 at the Church of the Nazarene, Carthage.  Memorial services will follow at 2:00 PM.  Memorial gifts are suggested to the Church of the Nazarene in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W.
