David D. Maynard, age 57 of Joplin passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on June 15, 1957 in Joplin to Lonnie F. (Jim) Maynard and Wanda (Wilson) Maynard. David was co-owner of Jim’s Automotive and also worked at Missouri Precision in Joplin. He was a member of the Westside Full Gospel Church in Webb City, loved to fish and hunt, and loved to spend time and play with his grandchildren who were his number one.
David married Shirley (Danner) Maynard on June 3, 1976 and she survives at the home. He is also survived by a daughter, Amber Karcher of Joplin; son, David Maynard and wife Lana of Oronogo; grandchildren, Stone & Steel Karcher, David Maynard, Jr., Lynnzie Maynard; brother, Jim Maynard and wife Beth of Oronogo; along with several other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
