Patricia Dooms Flanigan, 83, Carthage, passed away April 3, 2015 at Spring River Christian Village, Joplin. Patricia Sue Dooms was born December 13, 1931 in Winslow, Arizona; the daughter of the late Omar Denny Dooms and Elizabeth Brennan Dooms. She was a graduate of St. de Chantal Academy Elfindale, Springfield, MO and attended Drury College, Springfield. She married George Matthew Flanigan on December 29, 1951 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Springfield; he preceded her in death on December 23, 2014.
Survivors include; a daughter, Elaine (James) Flanigan Barry, St. Louis; two sons, David Brennan (Betsy) Flanigan, Carthage and Matthew Callaway (Tracy) Flanigan, Carthage; four grandchildren, Devin Callaway Flanigan, Kelly Ann Flanigan, James Brennan Flanigan and Anne Catherine Flanigan.
Mrs. Flanigan was also preceded in death by one brother, William Omar Dooms.
A funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday, April 8, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Private graveside services followed in Park Cemetery, Carthage. Pallbearers were David Brennan Flanigan, Matthew Callaway Flanigan, Devin Callaway Flanigan, James Brennan Flanigan, James Joseph Barry, Thomas Callaway Flanigan, and Van Wayne Bennett.
