Jack Leon Phillips, age 61, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Jack was born August 7, 1953 in Joplin, son of the late Mary Ann Williams Phillips and Wayne L. Phillips of Joplin. He attended Joplin Schools, and then served in the United States Navy. He returned to Joplin, and worked several jobs throughout his working life including working in many aspects of construction, and being a mechanic.
Survivors include his children, Greg Phillips of Joplin, Jack Phillips, Jr. of Diamond, Missouri, Matt Pressler of St. Louis, Missouri, and Ashley Farnsworth and husband Tyler of Joplin; his father, Wayne Phillips of Joplin; brothers, Kenny Phillips and Rob Phillips; sisters, Cheryl Lewis and husband Carl, and Teresa Ray and husband Walt all of Joplin; grandchildren, Lexi and Elijah.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
The family will have memorial services at a later date.
