David Danner

David A. Danner, age 70, of Carthage passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at 6:51 p.m. at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. 

David was born July 14, 1944 in Carthage to “Red” Danner and “Clea” Pritchard Danner. He was a lifelong resident of the Carthage area and had spent many happy hours with family and friends at his parents business Red’s Diner in Carthage in his younger years. He had worked for H.E. Williams Manufacturing as well as Ozark Engineering. David was a member of Mount Hope Church of Christ Webb City Mo. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and trips to Canada. 

David was united in marriage to Joyce Neal on December 29, 2000 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Melanie Thomas(Arolin) of Webb City, MO, one step-son Randy Brownlow(Samantha) of Carl Junction and one Step daughter Kim Cowdin of Joplin, one brother, Mike Danner(Betty) of Carthage, two grandchildren, Mitch Keeter and Kassie Thomas, four step grandchildren, Shannon Long, Rebecca Brownlow, Austin Brownlow and Caylen Cowdin and one great granddaughter Maddyn Keeter. 

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Children’s Haven or Ronald McDonald House in care of the Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent at www.ulmerfh.com.
