Bob N. Renfro, 75, Diamond, passed away on July 16, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a sudden illness.
He was born April 16, 1940 in Newton County, Missouri, the son of Frederick and Zelma (James) Renfro. Bob was a lifelong resident of the Diamond area and was self-employed in the lawn care business. He was a long time member of Hilldale Baptist Church and the National Horse Shoe Pitching Association. Bob had a strong faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved playing sports, especially horseshoes and softball. But his true love was spending time with his wife and family and watching his grandchildren as they grew.
Bob married Evelyn Harris on November 6, 1961 in Diamond, and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Karen Coates and husband, Randy of Republic, MO; a son, Kevin Renfro and wife, Jill of Neosho; two brothers, Jim Renfro and Dean Renfro and wife, Grace, all of Diamond; six grandchildren, Shawn, Bryan, Seth, Jaydn, Zach and Zoe; and five great grandchildren, Tristan, Collins, Izzy, Ashton and Ryker, aka “Charlie Brown”.
