Samuel Lee Hall, age 75 of Neosho, passed away at 5:47 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
Born November 28, 1939 in Reno, NV, he was the son of the late Charles and Phyllis Miller Hall and moved with his family to Illinois. For the past 35 years he had lived in the Joplin, Carthage and Neosho areas. Sam served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and held the rank of Colonel. He graduated from the St. Louis School of Pharmacy, holding a PhD. For over 40 years he worked as a pharmacist, 23 of which were for Freeman Health Systems. He was a Roman Catholic. Sam was a loving father and grandfather and was always there to help his family.
On December 21, 1989 he married Theresa J. Martinez Lombard at Miami, OK and renewed his vows at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Carthage.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Rachel J. Lombard and fiancé Marques Rodgers of Springfield, Clarissa M. Hall and companion Orlando Najera of Neosho; one son, Michael L. Hall and companion Falesha of Enid, OK; four grandchildren, Melissa M. Hall, Neki L. Hall, Samuel L. Hall and Draven M. Hall; and two sisters.
Preceding him in death were a son, Phillip Lombard in 1988; two grandchildren, Victor Draven Hall and Angel Hall.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church, Joplin with Fr. J. Friedel, celebrant. Pallbearers will be Vincent Martinez, Vincent Martinez, Joseph Martinez, Joseph Martinez, Michael Hall and Marques Rodgers. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Monett with Deacon David Baunach officiating. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary, followed by visitation. The casket will remain closed. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Parker Mortuary.
