Margaret Ann Hawkins, age 81, Granby, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at her home with family at her side after an illness.
Margaret was born August 26, 1933 in Seneca, Missouri, daughter of the late Charles and Hilda Oliver. She moved to Ritchey as a child and graduated from Mid-Way High School. She worked for the garment factory in Monett after high school, then for some time at Ramey’s Grocery Store in Granby, and she retired after several years as a secretary for Granby Gas. She was also a member of the Ritchey Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Hawkins; a son, J. D. Hawkins, Jr; a brother, Bob Oliver; and a great-grandson.
Survivors include her children, James Delvin Hawkins (Thelma), Charles Mike Hawkins, Patricia Hembree(Butch), Pam Yost (Jock), and Tracy Topel; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; companion, Charles Seufert; brothers, Buck Oliver (Jeanie), David Oliver (Cheryl); sister, Carol Anderson (Russell); several nieces and nephews.
