J. T. Wilson

James ‘J.T.’ Wilson, 93, Diamond, died July 20, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following a short illness. 

J.T. was born Jan. 16, 1922 in Neosho, the son of Ralph and Bernice (Walters) Wilson. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy on the U.S.S. Boise during WW II, serving Oct. 13, 1942 through Dec. 22, 1945. Following his military service, he worked at Rocketdyne and Teledyne and was a cattle farmer. He enjoyed being outdoors and outdoor activities and was a member of the Spring City Church of Christ. 

J.T. married Winifred Marie (Berry) on Nov. 17, 1947 and she preceded him in death on Sept. 7, 1985; he then married Geraldine Macy on July 14, 1986 and she preceded him in death on Jan. 26, 2013. J. T. is survived by three children, Stanley Wilson and wife, Pam of Diamond; Melonie Cline and husband, Paul of Carthage and Candy Wilson of Neosho; a stepdaughter, Sandy Macy Cullum of Monett; grandchildren, Tiffany Goldfin and husband, John; Tara Wilson, Matt Cline and wife, Beth; Holly Brock and husband, Matt; Emily Baxter and husband, Brent; Sunny Lewis and husband, Butch; Bobbie Cornell and husband, Chris and Levi Ellison and wife, Jessica; nine great grandchildren and a sister, Linda Sue Gover of Jackson, TN. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Wilson and Don Wilson and a sister, Elleen Ennis.
