Jerry J. Jones, age 73 of Joplin, Mo passed away July 18, 2015.
He was born on April 22, 1942 in Webb City, Mo. He married Gerda Dutton on January 9, 1970. He is survived by his wife Gerda, three brothers: Danny Jones of Springfield, Mo, Robert Jones of Diamond, Mo Randy Jones and his wife Crystal of Carthage, Mo; a sister in-law Beverly Jones of Riverton, Ks and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey Cecil “Casey” and Leona Marguerite (Widener) Jones, a sister Margie Marden, two brothers: Tommy Jones and Don Jones; and sister in-law Jane Jones. Jerry worked for many years for Freightliner and Sitton Motor line as a diesel mechanic. He was a Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and was an active member of the Christadelphian Ecclesia (Brother of Christ) Church of Joplin.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday July 22, 2015 at the Osborne Cemetery Joplin, Mo, with Les Sage Officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory. The family suggests contributions to the Joplin Christadelphian Church in care of the Mortuary.
