Carolyn Thrasher

Carolyn Louise Thrasher, 62, Neosho, entered into rest on Aug. 25, 2017 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. 

 Carolyn was born April 29, 1955 in Neosho, the daughter of Lyford and Pauline (Saralls) Thrasher, the youngest of seven children. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Parkwood High School in 1974. She had worked at La-Z-Boy in Neosho for 34 years and was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church. 

 She is survived by one sister, Inez Booth and husband, Chester of Joplin; three brothers, Don Thrasher and wife, Louise of Granby; Wayne Thrasher and wife, Donna and Jim Thrasher and wife, Vicki, all of Joplin; several nieces and nephews and her best friends, Cathy Mosby and husband, Wayne and Kasey Wiley and husband, Jeff of Neosho as well as many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Paulette Sherman and Kaye Prater and a nephew, Danny Sherman, Jr.

Services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 2 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Craig Baslee will officiate. Interment will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery, Anderson and serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Patterson, Kyle Patterson, Jeff Wiley, Wayne Mosby, Tom Henry and Roger Haslip. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Contributions in memory of Carolyn may be made to Gospel Lighthouse, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
