Linda Sue Hawthorne, 70, of Lamar, passed away Saturday August 12, at the Truman Healthcare facility in Lamar.
Linda was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa, on December 11, 1946 to Herman and Carrie (Huff) Cooper. Linda was a C N A at the Nevada State Hospital where she worked in Rehab for 12 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers Norman and Eugene Cooper.
Linda is survived by 2 daughters; Tammy Ellison of Iowa and Carrie Kirbey and husband Mike of Lamar; 1 son Cody Baines of DeWitt, Iowa, 5 grandchildren; Tasha Southerland and husband Trey of Andrews, TX, Kimber Gastel and husband Zac, Michael Jones, Keaton Kirbey and Hunter Kirbey of Lamar; and 3 great grandchildren; Bentley Campbell, Rayley Gastel and Conway Gastel. And 1 sister, Roxanne Beaman and husband Gary of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
