Grover Knight

Grover Earl Knight, age 75 of Neosho, Missouri, entered into rest on August 15, 2017 at his home in Neosho, following a sudden illness. 

 Grover was born Nov. 29, 1941 in Washington, DC, the son of Alfred B. and Patricia J. (Dunn) Knight. He worked as a computer operator for Williams Pipeline Co., Inc. for over 30 years and following his retirement from Williams Pipeline, he worked at Wal-Mart, Lowe's and Dowd’s Catfish House. He resided in Goodman for 30 years before moving to Neosho two years ago. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed harassing his grandchildren. 

 Grover and Melba (McKnight) were married on January 29, 1971 in Miami, OK and she survives. Additional survivors include three children, Lisa Knight-Alexander; Brian Knight and Laura Snyder; two brothers, Alfred B. Knight, Jr. and James Patrick Knight; one sister, Mary Knight and eight grandchildren, Tyler Snyder, Paige Snyder, Ashley James, Elizabeth Snyder, Hailee Knight, Ashley Kruis, Christopher Alexander and Shaina Alexander. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Rebecca and Martha Knight.

Funeral services for Grover will be held on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Pastor Dexter Snyder. Interment will follow in the Hazel Green Cemetery, Boulder City, MO. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation Thursday evening from 6 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. The casket will be closed at all times.
