Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" Wakefield, 70 years, of Pineville, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas with his loving family by his side.
Ronnie was born on December 27, 1946 at Santa Rosa, California to the late James and Eva (Bates) Wakefield. He was raised and attended school in Kansas City, Missouri. Ronnie began working as a sacker at a local grocery store and worked at construction, painting, auto body, truck driving and asbestos. He moved to Pineville, Missouri following a fall from a ladder, becoming disabled in 1991.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and three sisters.
Ronnie is survived by his companion of 30 years, Betty McDaniel of the home; her daughter and two grandchildren; a brother, Frank Streit of Parkville, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and wonderful friends who will dearly miss Ronnie.
Funeral services for Ronnie were held Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Union Cemetery in Stella, Missouri.
