Connie Jo Whitson, 63, Diamond, entered into rest on Aug. 16, 2017 at Landmark Hospital in Joplin.
Connie was born Feb. 22, 1954 in Clinton, Illinois and was a homemaker. She had resided in Diamond since 1989 and was a member of Diamond First Baptist Church.
Connie and LaVerne Whitson were married on Nov. 17, 1988 in Aerosmith, Illinois and he survives. Additional survivors include two daughters, Heather Wilson of Webb City and Ashley Clark of Joplin; two brothers, Robert O’Neal of Bloomington, Illinois and Larry O’Neal of Famer City, Illinois and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10 am at the First Baptist Church in Diamond. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
