Beverly Birchfield

Beverly Ruth Birchfield, age 67, of Cassville, Missouri, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. 

Daughter of Harold and Almedia “Pete” (McMahan) Newman, Beverly was born on November 23, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a graduate of McDonald County High School, the class of 1972. 

On May 6, 1977, she was united in holy matrimony to Lloyd J. Birchfield in Exeter; he survives.








Beverly would go on to become a Certified Nurses Aide and Medical Technician, but her family would always remain her priority. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart, and she was a member of Blessing Heights Worship Center in Cassville. Beverly loved the ocean and enjoyed the simple beauty of flowers. Beverly’s greatest joy in this life, however, was found when she became “Nanny”, her grandchildren were her entire world and she made very sure they knew it. Beverly was a beautiful soul who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving husband, Lloyd Birchfield, of Cassville; two sons, Jeremiah Birchfield and Chris Birchfield, both of Cassville; two daughters, Juna Couey and her husband Morgan, of Ridgeley, and Jamie Fletcher and husband Jeff, of Holiday Island, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Austin Couey, Aaron Couey, Colby Lakey, Garrett Couey, Brayden Stephens, Brianna Birchfield, Kaitlyn Birchfield and Darren Birchfield; one great-granddaughter, Paislee; her mother-in-law, Evelyn May, of Cassville; five brothers, Charles Newman and his wife Dianna, of Avoca, Arkansas, David Newman and his wife Debbie, of Neosho, Kenneth Newman and his wife Dianna, of Avoca, Arkansas, Choc Newman, of Stella, and Ringo Newman and his wife Jane, of Neosho; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by father-in-law, Cecil Jew May.








Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21. 2022, at Blessing Heights Worship Center in Cassville, with Pastor Brad Hudson and Sister Barbara Donaldson officiating Burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Cassville.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at White Funeral Home in Cassville.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home & Crematory of Cassville.
