(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Patsy S. Box, age 84 of Joplin, MO., went to rest on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 3:05 p.m. from short illness.
Patsy was born on September 30, 1938, to Frank and Isabella Cruse of Duenweg, MO.
She married Melvin “Lefty” Box on June 3rd, 1955, with one son, Billy Box. Patsy retired from Modine.
She is survived by her grandson, Matthew Box and wife Peggy Box. Granddaughter, Erin Cornmen, great-grandsons, Austun Box and wife Taylor, Dakota Box and Tyler Smith, granddaughter Tiffany Dunn, great-granddaughter Leighton Scofield, all of Joplin, MO; Great-Great-Granddaughters: Remi and Raelynn Box. Several nieces and nephews and other loving family members. Honorary longtime friend/daughter Becky Wallace.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Isabella Cruse, brother Ralph Cruse, husband, Melvin, and son, Billy Box.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30th, 2022, at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Austun and Dakota Box, Nick Kyger, Ryan Kyger, Todd Akins, Ethan McLaughin, Isaac McLaughlin, Robert Parsons, Nick Lawrence.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
