(From Parker Mortuary) James Michael Cornwell, age 42, Seneca, Missouri, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Mercy of Joplin.
James was born November 7, 1980 in Florida before moving to Weaverville, N.C. where he graduated from High School and excelled as a football player.
He worked for years in security in North Carolina before moving to Joplin where he worked for Allied Security. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, and go camping.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Angela Joan Carswell, and his uncle, Robert Ralph Dodd.
Survivors include his sister, Stacey Zemberi; son, Justin Goodell; good friend, Jessica Wing of Seneca, and her children, Kelsey Jordan and Tristan Wing also of Seneca; and a cousin, Charlsie Chandler.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary with private memorial services to be held at a later date.
