(From Clark Funeral Home)Patrick Dunlavy, 67, Neosho, Missouri, formerly of Tulsa, Oklahoma, entered into rest on November 25, 2022 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Pat was born August 16, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, one of five children to Thomas and Rose (Schwendeman) Dunlavy.
He worked as a service manager at an automotive dealership in Tulsa prior to his retirement and had recently moved to Neosho from Tulsa.
Pat was an honest man. He loved his work and his customers, he spoke of them like family. When he wasn’t working, you could find him on the golf course, at the movies with his son, Ryan, watching a baseball game, reading or supporting his granddaughters.
Pat was great at many things, but the greatest of all was being a dad. He loved his boys, Ryan and Michael, and wanted nothing more than for them to feel fully supported and loved by him. He carried this down to his granddaughters. He loved watching his granddaughters dance, especially, Iley. Pat noticed early on the place Iley shined the brightest was on the stage. He never missed an opportunity to see her perform and made sure she had everything she needed to keep dancing. He could watch Ada sweep the floor with absolute amazement and wonder. She lit up his world and he made sure she knew it. Pat had an amazing gift for knowing how to show up and love each person individually.
Pat is survived by two sons, Michael Dunlavy and wife, Katie of Neosho and Ryan Dunlavy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Iley Rose and Ada Pearl Dunlavy, both of Neosho; one brother, Tom, Dunlavy of Washington, Missouri and two sisters, Maureen Stroeck of St. Louis, Missouri and Peggy McCloud of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, JoAnn.
At Pat’s request, a private family celebration of life will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ovation Studios, 2111 South River St., Carthage, Missouri. You may also call, 1-800-792-3891 and Pat’s friend, Victoria will be happy to assist you.
