(From Lakin Funeral Home)Margie "Lorene" Young, age 90, of Pierce City, MO passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Roaring River Health and Rehab Center in Cassville, MO. She was born in Miller, MO on Tuesday, February 23, 1932; daughter of William Cecil and Ada (Lyles) Conway. She was a 1950 graduate of Pierce City High School.
She married Lennard Young on Monday, September 10, 1973.
Mrs. Young was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, crocheting, and completing crossword puzzles. When younger, she and Lennard enjoyed camping and fishing. Mrs. Young always treasured time spent with her family.
Surviving are the following: four daughters, Dorothy (Bob) Clinkingbeard of Ulysses, KS; Martha (Rick) Bronson of Joplin, MO, Debbie (James) Taylor of Saratoga, TX; and Connie Duley of Decatur, TX; one son, Homer (Dianna) Woods, Pierce City, MO; twenty-two grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Those welcoming her in heaven include her husband, Lennard Young; her parents, William C. and Ada Ann Conway; two grandsons, Joshua Woods and Jameson Woods; a granddaughter, Tonya Crawford; two brothers, Ray Conway and William Conway, Jr.; and a sister, Gladys Krueger.
The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Following visitation, Mrs. Young will be cremated at her request. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
