(From Clark Funeral Home)Almeda “Sue” Rood, age 78, of Eureka, South Dakota, a retired cosmetologist, passed away at 10:49 a.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born July 15, 1944, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Andrew and Geneva (Wilkinson) Matthews.
She is survived by her husband, Roger, of the home; three children, Tammy (Dean) Thorson of Granby, Missouri, Sherri (Ronnie) Wiggs of McLoud, Oklahoma and Patrick Julie White) Ayres of Moore, Oklahoma; two stepsons, Brian and Marc Rood of Marion, Iowa; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, one brother, Larry (Kathy) Matthews of Seneca, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The Clark Funeral Home has conducted local arrangements in Granby, Missouri. Private family services are to be held at a later date.
