William Penner

William Penner, age 52 of Neck City was born November 6, 1970 in Joplin to Jerry "Max" Penner and Margaret Hole. He passed away on November 18, 2022 at Freeman West in Joplin.

William attended Alba and Webb City Schools. He worked as a stocker for Walmart in several locations, notably Lamar and Carthage, for around 7 years. 

William was very social and loved to visit and get to know people. His family fondly remembers their times camping down at Stockton Lake with William. He was an amateur CB radio operator. William had a dog named Max, who was his companion. Max was named after William's father.








William is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Max Penner; his aunt Daisy Herndon; an uncle Gary Miller, and several other family members.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Hole and husband Don of Neck City; aunts and uncles, Milly Miller of Neck City, Mary Summer and husband Wayne of Carthage, Ann Hinkle and husband Mike of Neck City, Jesse Penner and wife Judy of Webb City, Kathy Stanley and husband Merl of Webb City, and Wanda Long and husband Mike of Diamond; along with numerous cousins. William is also survived by a family friend, Kiki Williams of Neck City.








A visitation will be held on November 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM at New Providence Baptist Church in Oronogo, Missouri. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the funeral service at Webb City Cemetery in Webb City, Missouri. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
