David Silvey

Henry David Silvey, Jr, known as David, passed away on May 5, 2024 in Webb City, Missouri, following a lengthy illness.

David was born September 7, 1953 to Henry D. Silvey Sr. and Helen Paul Silvey in Joplin, Missouri.

He served his country in the United States Air Force upon graduation from Seneca High School in 1971. He attended Missouri Southern State College majoring in Business.








David spent his working years in car sales around the Joplin area, though his true love was farming, in particular, raising farm animals. He loved driving the IH tractor from a very young age. He was also a member of Warren’s Branch Baptist Church.

Preceding David in death are his parents, paternal grandparents Frank Henry and Lelia Silvey, maternal grandparents William “Bill” and Della Paul, former wife and mother of his son Marsha Burwick, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his son Henry Walton Silvey, sisters Nancy (Al) Wilson and Mary Sue (Max) Case; former wife Amparo Silvey; nephews John Case and Paul (Anita) Case; great nephews Scott Case, Dakota Case, and Zane Case; great niece Aubrey Case; great-great nephew Layne Case, many friends and extended family.

A graveside service has been scheduled for 2:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Burkhart Cemetery in Racine, Missouri.
