(From McQueen Funeral Home)Louisa "Jane" Jones, of Exeter, Missouri passed away at the age of 94 on May 8, 2024, at Medicalodges Neosho in Neosho, Missouri.
She was born on April 22, 1930, in Wheaton, Missouri, to the late Henry and Lula (Nichols) Utter. Jane was united in marriage to Burnis Eugene "Gene" Jones on March 21, 1959, in Exeter, Missouri, he preceded her in death on February 29, 1996. Jane was also preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Emily Jo Talbert; brother, George Utter, and sisters, Dorothy Snider, Ruth Burdette, Nora Levitch, and Opal Utter.
Surviving her is a son, James Jones of Exeter, Missouri and daughter, Donna Talbert and her husband Rusty of Granby, Missouri. In addition, she is survived by two grandchildren, Rachel Trammell and her husband Josh of Stark City, Missouri, and Nick Talbert and his wife Kolina of Joplin, Missouri and 4 great grandchildren, Shannon, Reagan and Jase Trammell and Hattie Talbert.
Jane grew up and attended school in Wheaton, Missouri graduating from Wheaton High School with the class of 1950. She and Gene operated their dairy farm together from 1959 until 1995. Jane will be remembered for her loving, hardworking and strong-willed nature. She was an avid gardener, she found joy in sewing, cooking, and especially tending to her vibrant flowers. She also had a special place in her heart for her cats, Snowball and Fluffy, who were her faithful companions. Jane will be missed by all who knew her. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 13, 2024 at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Pastor Donnie Spears and Pastor Lee Beck will conduct the services. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery in Exeter, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Monday at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
Contributions may be made to Concord Cemetery in memory of Jane.
