(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Teresa Sue Driskill was born Teresa Sue Oliver "Terrie" on February 12th, 1954, in Joplin Mo. To Max Eugene Oliver and Velma Faye Oliver, Webb City Mo. She went peacefully home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 2nd, 2024.
Terrie was raised in Webb City, Mo., and was a graduate of Webb City High School Class of 1972. She grew up on Grand Lake and was a lover of the outside and all things water.
Terrie married the love of her life Carl Driskill "J.R." on May 26th, 1972. Together they have 3 Children Abby, DJ and Jon. She was the co-founder of Driskill Properties, Dovepoint Ministries and Miracles Daycare. Along with owning her own kennel where she raised puppies for years. Terrie was preceded in death by her father Max Oliver.
Terrie is survived by her husband of 52 years J.R. Driskill, her children Abby Forrest and husband Justin, Joplin, Mo. Her son David Driskill "D.J." Carl Junction, Mo. Her son Jonathon "Jon" Driskill Centerton, Ark. Her Grandchildren Abram Driskill Forrest Joplin, Gracyn Marie Driskill Carl Junction, Isabeau Faith Sue Forrest, Joplin and Rhyse Bryant Driskill, Centerton Ark.
She is also survived by her mother Velma Oliver, Webb City, Mo, Sisters, Deborah Moore, Webb City, Kimberly Cochran and husband Douglas, Kansas City, Mo. Brother, Jeffrey Oliver and wife Sandy Webb City Mo. Mother-in-law Martelle Wiland, Webb City, Mo, Mother-in-law, Pearl Driskill, Republic Mo., Brother-in-law, Matt Wiland and wife Shawn, Webb City, Mo. and brother-in-law Terrie Richard Driskill, Richmond VA. Along with a host of nieces and nephews. Terrie Sue walked all of her days with Christ. She was a walking example of Psalms 46, Be Still and Know that I am God. She was a constant reminder of how to live in peace, how to speak in the boldness of the Word of God, and how to truly love one another like Christ loved the church. Her ability to always remain calm, speak truth, and to Just Breathe touched the hearts of so many.
She is also survived by her mother Velma Oliver, Webb City, Mo, Sisters, Deborah Moore, Webb City, Kimberly Cochran and husband Douglas, Kansas City, Mo. Brother, Jeffrey Oliver and wife Sandy Webb City Mo. Mother-in-law Martelle Wiland, Webb City, Mo, Mother-in-law, Pearl Driskill, Republic Mo., Brother-in-law, Matt Wiland and wife Shawn, Webb City, Mo. and brother-in-law Terrie Richard Driskill, Richmond VA. Her steadfast relationship with Christ through her daily walk with the Lord will live on forever.
Whether it was a talk on the front porch swing at 1535, a gathering around the supper table, or a lazy river in the pool, Terrie always gave her whole self to others. She served as a counselor, teacher, friend, mother, wife, sister, and ally to countless family members and friends. She truly had a servant's heart. Her wholesome and humble spirit was a gift to us all. She was a Titan in the spirt and we can't wait to be reunited.
Her Celebration of an extraordinary example of Life will be held at Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin Mo. on Wednesday, May 15th from 5- 7 p.m.
