Donald Verle Scobee, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at his home in Reeds Spring on April 29th, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family as he peacefully departed this world. Born in Branson, Missouri on October 30th, 1952 to proud parents Paul and Londa Scobee, whose love and guidance shaped him into the remarkable man he became.
Verle's life was a testament to hard work and dedication. His unwavering commitment to excellence was evident in every aspect of his life. As a devoted husband to Rowena Scobee for over fifty-two years, their love served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Their bond was unbreakable and their partnership was an example of true devotion.
As a father to Stefani (Benji) Stamford of Louisville, KY, Donald Jr (Jennifer) Scobee, Daniel (Pamela) Scobee, Both of Reeds, MO, and his adopted daughter Isabella Campbell-Scobee of the home; Verle instilled values of integrity and compassion that will continue through generations. His children were not only his pride but also the recipients of endless support and encouragement throughout their lives.
His role as a grandfather brought immeasurable joy into Verle's life. Courtney Hustson, Victoria & Amos Scobee, Cameron Scobee, all of Reeds spring. We were blessed with the love of such a caring grandparent who always made time for each one individually - creating memories that will be cherished forever.
The arrival of great-granddaughters Jaylani and Georgia brought even more happiness into Verle's life watching them grow filled him with immense pride knowing that they would carry forward his legacy with grace.
In addition to being an exceptional family man, Verle had many passions including hunting, fishing, and was a talented musician with an unwavering passion for the guitar. His soulful soul melodies touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of listening to his music. Verle's love for animals was undeniable, over the years he had pet raccoons, skunks, Blossom the deer, dogs, cats, and many more.
He leaves not only his family behind but countless friends who have been touched by his kindness; who admired him for both his compassion and personal warmth; and neighbors who benefited from his generosity; all mourning the loss of someone truly special.
Verle worked in concrete, construction, and blasting over the years. He worked twenty-five years alongside his younger brother Travis, after taking over their dad's company.
Donald Verle Scobee's departure has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts in his surviving brothers, Bob (Cynthia) Scobee in Springfield, MO; Travis (Sheri) Scobee of Reeds Springs MO; Jerry Burk of Galena, MO. We take solace in knowing that he is now at peace alongside those loved ones who passed before him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Saint Paul and Londa (Teague) Scobee, Great Granddaughter Aleah Scobee, along with siblings Roberta (Scobee) & Jerry Williams; Pauline (Scobee) & Glen Cummings and Charlotte Burk.
May we find comfort in each other during this difficult time while remembering the profound impact this incredible man had on us all.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2024 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Kimberling City, MO. Graveside services will follow the visitation in Yocum Pond Cemetery, Reeds Spring, MO with Kirt McCrorey officiating. Services under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
