Freddie DePriest

Freddie Lou DePriest, age 85, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Aurora Nursing Center. He was born August 14, 1940, in Thomasville, Missouri, the son of Lewis Emil and Mildred Lee (Lawson) DePriest.

Freddie was a 1958 graduate of Parkview High School in Springfield, Missouri. He was a truck driver and enjoyed going to the lake.

On August 14, 2014, he married Marivel Nunez, in Guayabillo, Mexico.






Freddie is survived by his wife, Marivel; one son, Joe DePriest of Verona, Missouri; three daughters, Jennifer Yeager and her husband, Doug, of Sparta, Missouri, Jackie Kenyon and her husband, Richard, of Monett, Missouri and Jane DePriest of Springfield, Missouri; stepson, John Bowman and his wife, Sandra, of Crane, Missouri; three stepchildren, Omar, Leobardo and Carmen Garcia; one sister, Norma Jean Drisdoll and her husband, Rex, of Springfield, Missouri; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Freddie was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis, and Mildred; an infant sister; one brother, Jackie DePriest; grandson, Brandon Cox; daughter-in-law, Enisa DePriest and stepson, Jerry Bowman.

No services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, Missouri.
