(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Jody J. Gilstrap, age 90, of Neosho, Missouri passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
She was born on September 17, 1935, in Pittsburg, Kansas.
She had resided most of her life in the area.
She was a Display Technician for the former Motorola in Joplin before retiring.
She enjoyed crafts and flowers, loved going to yard sales, flea markets, and she loved her dogs.
She married Gale Gilstrap on March 16, 1955, in Miami, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2011.
Survivors include two sons; Jack (Sabra) Coyle of Neosho, Missouri and Mike Gilstrap of Joplin, Missouri, three daughters; Cindy (David) Crayne of Joplin, Missouri, Kristy (Jim) Phillips of Neosho, Missouri, and Kelly (Richard) Banks of Neosho, Missouri, one sister; Laura Sitler of Joplin, Missouri, her grandchildren; Shane (Christian) Coyle, Erin Muller, DeeWayne (Wendy) Charlton, Misty Gray, Dawn (Michael) Gammon, Holly Baker, Dirk Gilstrap, Mandy Gilstrap, Rick Banks, Benjamin (Harley) Banks, and Rachel (David) Pearson, her great-grandchildren; Brendan (Allee) Coyle, Hannah Jennings, Jordan Jennings, Blake (Leana) Barker, Joshua (Sasha) Foulk, AbbyGale Valadez, Kyra, Rylea, Zach, Lincoln, Kylee (Jake) Barnes, Maggie Messenger, Jace Ballard, Cora Baker, Raylee Lalonde, Richie Banks, Belle Banks, Helayna Gardner, Evie Gardner, Nova Liontas, Boudicea Banks, Bjorn Banks, Rory DeGraffenreid, Naiya Pearson, Selah Pearson, Havilah Pearson, Wisdom Pearson, and Valor Pearson, 14 great-great grandchildren, and one niece; Ginger (Mike) Terpenning.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Luke Stephen and Cora Irene Wheeler Thompson, one sister; Janie Jones, and a grandson; Austin Coyle.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Mason-Woodard Chapel.
