Carolyn Davidson

Carolyn Sue Davidson, 74, of Anderson, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the Solace House in Joplin, Missouri.

She entered this life on February 19, 1951 in Colorado to the late Charles Acy and Myrl Jean (Stephens) Stout. Carolyn was united in marriage on June 1, 1969 to James Henry Davidson, Sr. and to this union three children were born. Carolyn had a Bachelor’s Degree in Education working at Crowder College in Adult Education; as well as an at risk home bound teacher for the McDonald County School District. She was a big part in forming the Anderson Farmer’s Market and was affectionally known as the “Jelly Lady” at the Afton poultry swap meet.








Carolyn loved her children and grandchildren and cherished time spent with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Darrell and Edward; and a sister, Linda.

She is survived by her three children, James Davidson, Jr. of Anderson, Missouri, Catiga W. Arnett of Noel, Missouri, Snowlyne D. Davidson of Fordland, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Stout of Sparta, Missouri; along with a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Carolyn.








Funeral services for Carolyn Davidson will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. Private family burial will follow the service at the Davidson-Stout Family Cemetery in rural Anderson, Missouri. Family will receive friends on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Solace House, 2425 Mina Avenue, Joplin, MO 64804 or in care of the funeral home, in loving memory of Carolyn.
