Matthew Porter Hart, 23, Carthage, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Vernon County, MO. Matthew Hart was born October 2, 1992 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Michael Craig Hart and Lisa Welman Hart, Carthage, MO. Matthew was a graduate of Carthage Senior High, Class of 2011 where he was active in varsity football and baseball. He attended Missouri State University, Springfield, MO where he was active in the Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity. Matthew loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, spending time with family and
friends, and especially his dog Duke.


Matthew is survived by his parents, Craig and Lisa Hart, Carthage, his sister, Lauren Hart, Carthage, grandmother Carolyn Hart, Texas, aunt Christi (husband Brian) Murphy and their two children Aidan and Brianna, aunt Cindy (husband Richard) Cunningham and their three children Elizabeth (husband
Scott) Wente (two children Leo and Ella Ann), Spencer (wife Donna) Cunningham (two children Oakes and Tucker) and Caroline Cunningham.

Matthew is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Hart, Texas, his grandfather William Welman, Missouri, and his grandmother Alice Welman, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Rev. James Lee, First United Methodist Church, Carthage will officiate. Afterwards there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Woodshed on the square. Memorial gifts are suggested to the donor's charity of choice.
