Phyllis Wilson

Phyllis Marie Wilson, 69, Neosho, died Nov. 4, 2015 at her home surrounded by family, following a short illness. 

Phyllis was born Dec. 21, 1945 in Stella, the daughter of George Joner and Meda I. (Bailey) Pogue. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Neosho High School. In addition to being a homemaker, she had worked at Neosho Public Schools, Wilson’s Grocery Store and Anthony’s Store. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking, shopping and especially being with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.

 Phyllis married Gary Wilson on May 29, 1967 at Miami, OK and he survives. Additional survivors include three children, Kimberly Smith and husband, Jim of Neosho; Brian Wilson and wife, Tara of Neosho and Misty Flory and husband, Lee of Granby; thirteen grandchildren, Bailey Ward and husband, Zach, Taylor Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Austin Graham and fiance Whitney Watkins, Ty Smith and fiance, Sidney Frossard, Zack Graham, Kaylynn Smith, Trysten Graham, Hope Harris, Aubry Harris, Brylee Wilson, Dalton Flory and Dustin Flory; two great grandchildren, Ava Brenneman and Conner Graham; four brothers, George Pogue and wife, Kay; Danny Pogue; Grover Pogue and wife, Sherry and Bill Pogue, all of Neosho and two sisters, Chris Houston and husband, Norman and Sheila Mayfield and husband, Denny of Neosho. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Loretta Wilson and Joyce Wallace and father in law and mother in law, Bardeen and Ruby Wilson.
