Mildred (Mid) Marie Coker, age 85, of Webb City passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on December 28, 1929 in Prosperity, Missouri, the youngest of 5 children to J.W. Whitelock and Ethel (Smith) Whitelock.
Mid married John Coker on July 28, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas, and he preceded her in death in 2002. They went to and settled in Taft, California where John worked and retired from M.H. Whittier Oil Company. Upon John’s retirement they moved back to Webb City. To this union two sons were born, Billy and Dennis. Billy passed away in 1952, and Dennis passed away in 2007. She was also preceded in death by her 3 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and other family members.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will have a visitation on Friday from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City.
