Danny Holden

Danny was born June 6, 1980 in Joplin, Missouri, to Daniel and Leisha (Patterson) Holden. He graduated from Webb City High School, class of 1998. Danny worked as a machine operator at TAMKO in Joplin before working for H.E. Williams in Carthage as a forklift operator. He was most recently employed as a forklift operator for Schreiber Foods in Carthage.

Danny was active in various sports during his school career, including baseball, basketball and football. He was coached by his dad and that inspired him to become a baseball, basketball and football coach for Webb City. Danny was a dedicated coach for 13 years. He was an avid camper and loved to camp anywhere – even in his own front yard. Danny also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad while growing up. He loved his family – especially his two boys.

Danny was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Shirley Lehman; maternal grandfather and grandmother, Dick Patterson and Donna Moore; his great-grandparents, Ira and Edith Hadley, Zachariah and Hildred Holden and Goldie Patterson; and his nephew, Kellen Robert Holden.

Survivors include his two sons, Anthony and Andrew Holden, of Carthage, Missouri; his parents, Dan and Leisha Holden of Carthage; three siblings, Tina Gossett and husband, Shane, of Purcell, Missouri, Joshua Ryan Sherrill of Carthage and Joshua Holden and wife, Mariejeanne, of Australia; nieces and nephews, Tyler, Madison, Jay, Loren, Lyla, Lily, Sydney and Sammi; the mother of his children, Annie Sloniker-Holden; as well as a host of cousins, extended family and friends.

Funeral service information is pending at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the Anthony and Andrew Holden Trust Fund in care of Southwest Missouri Bank.
