Norma Shaw

Norma Jean (Brasier) Shaw, 84, of Erie, died at 2:47 A.M., Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center at Chanute.

She was born April 21, 1934 at Erie, a daughter of Bill and Ruth (Herrin) Brasier. She was raised at Erie and graduated from high school there.

On February 16, 1953 she was united in marriage to Virgil “Bud” L. Shaw at Wichita. The couple moved to Wichita after their marriage where Norma was employed in communications at Boeing Aircraft. They moved to Valley Center, KS after they retired and returned to Erie in 2003. Mr. Shaw preceded her in death on January 22, 2012.

She was Methodist and a member of the Federated Church at Erie.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters in-law – Staff Sgt. Virgil Alan and Myra Shaw, Webb City, MO, William “Bill” L. and Tricia Shaw, Edmond, OK; two grandsons – Andy Shaw, Iola, KS, Hayden Shaw, Chicago, IL. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother – Bill Brasier and one sister – Colleen Breckencamp.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, July 27, 2018 at East Hill Cemetery at Erie.
