Billie Jones

(From Parker Mortuary)

Billie P. Jones, a beacon of love and courage, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, in Pittsburg, Kansas, after an extended illness. Born on March 18, 1944, in the heart of Wichita, Kansas, Billie's gentle spirit and unwavering strength were her hallmarks throughout her 81 years of life.

Billie's early years were spent under the nurturing guidance of her late parents, William Vanberford and Ella Mae Wright. Her journey led her to the love of her life, Charles Jones, with whom she built a family filled with love and laughter before his passing in 2021.

Billie's legacy is carried on by her devoted daughter, Terry Huston of Joplin, Missouri, and her sons, Gary Jones of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Justin Huston (Jennifer) of Carthage, Missouri. She was the cherished grandmother to Bobbie, Amy, Doug, Jeremy, Taylor, Leah, and Carson, and the proud great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren, who will all miss her deeply.

Professionally, Billie dedicated many years as a Certified Medicine Aide, where her compassionate nature provided comfort and care to those she served. Her work ethic was unmatched, and she took great pride in her role, touching many lives along the way. Billie also provided house cleaning services, where her attention to detail and reliability earned her the trust and respect of many.

Billie's interests were simple yet profound. She found her greatest joy in loving on her grandchildren, a testament to her nurturing soul. Her presence at family gatherings was a source of warmth and happiness, and her ability to make each grandchild feel uniquely loved was one of her most remarkable gifts.

There are no services planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
