(From Buchanan Funeral Home)Maria Guadalupe Barrientos, 42, of Siloam Springs, passed away on January 28, 2026. She was born on December 12, 1983, in Vicente Guerrero, Durango, Mexico, the beloved daughter of Jaime Aldava Vidana and Dalia Fernandez Rueda.
Maria's educational journey was marked by dedication and excellence. She graduated from Monett High School in 2001 before continuing her studies at Crowder College. She later achieved her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from PSU, showcasing her passion for nurturing young minds.
A devoted educator, Maria's impact was felt in the classrooms of the Siloam Springs School District, where she taught Third Grade English and Math with skill and compassion. Her dedication to her profession was evident in the countless lives she touched through her teaching.
As a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Siloam Springs, Maria found solace and community in her faith. On August 4, 2007, she exchanged vows with Rodrigo Barrientos Gonzalez at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, embarking on a journey of love and partnership that would bring three cherished children into their lives.
Maria is survived by her loving husband, Rodrigo Barrientos Gonzalez; her precious sons, Gael and Thiago Barrientos; her beloved daughter, Dennesly Barrientos; her devoted parents, Jaime Aldava Vidana and Dalia Fernandez Rueda; her dearly cherished siblings, Estela Rueda, Hector Aldava, Jaime Aldava, Jr., Deanna Bolanos, and Anallely Alvarado; as well as a wide circle of extended family and friends who mourn her loss.
Maria Guadalupe Barrientos will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering dedication to her family and students, and her deep faith that guided her throughout her life. She will be dearly missed and forever treasured in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Monett. Father Rahab Isidor will be officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church with Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
