(From Ozark Memorial Park Crematory)Linda Alton, age 67, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on January 23, 2026, at Freeman following a long illness.
Linda was born on August 12, 1957 in Wichita, Kansas, to Jack Dale Alton and Sara Patricia Alton. She moved to the Carthage community in 1974 and attended Carthage High School. Over the years she worked at Carthage Underground and H.E. Williams, where she was known as a dedicated and hardworking employee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Kenneth James, Jack Dale Jr., and Jay Dee; and her two husbands, Rick Waisner and Robert Clark. Linda is survived by her siblings Tina and Tony; daughters, Crystal and Dawndee; and her nine grandchildren; Sebastian, Samantha, Xavier, Skylee, Rosslyn, Hartley, Kayden, Trace and Kody, who were a great source of joy in her life.
Cremation has been chosen, with a private ceremony to be held by the family. A celebration of Linda’s life will take place at a later date at the VFW. Linda will be remembered for her strength resilience, and the love she had for her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and especially by her sister-in-law, Brenda Whitman.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park of Joplin, MO
