(From Parker Mortuary)Richard ( Rick) Lee Ebert, 70, Joplin, passed away on January 11, 2026, in Joplin, MO. He was born on October 27, 1955, in the beautiful country of Japan, to the late Richard and Norma (Whaley) Ebert.
Rick’s creativity led him to a fulfilling career as a floral designer, where he worked for several years. He also excelled in his role as a district manager for U-HAUL, where he cultivated a work environment that was both efficient and compassionate.
Beyond his professional life, Rick enjoyed drawing and fishing. A man of faith, Rick was a devoted member of the Forest Park Baptist Church in Joplin. Whether he was arranging a bouquet, managing his team, casting a line into the water, or sharing in worship, he did so with a full heart and a spirit of generosity. His presence was a light to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rick is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Ebert; siblings, Kristi Doran and Jeff Ebert; and several nieces and nephews.

I was neighbors with Rick in the old neighborhood by Tamko off High Street until my family moved in 1962. We had a great time together! Sympathies to Kristi and Jeff.
