Albert Taylor

Albert L. Taylor, 84, Reeds, Missouri, passed away early Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Webb City Health and Rehab. He was born on June 22, 1936 in California. 

Albert worked as a general laborer all around the Reeds and Sarcoxie area. 








He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Temple of Sarcoxie, Missouri, where he and his brother Carl were very faithful members. 

He is survived by a brother, Carl Taylor, and his church family.
Services are pending and will be announced by the Knell Mortuary.

Jane Brewer

Jane L. Brewer, 83, formerly of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 19, 2020 in Carthage, Missouri. Jane was born July 19, 1937 in Bryan, Texas, the daughter of T.B. Whitlow and Louise (Sisson) Whitlow. 

Jane graduated from Hearne High School in Hearne, Texas, then attended Baylor University. She married Troy Loftis in 1961; he preceded her in death. 

Jane then married Curtis Brewer in 1976; he preceded her in death in 2005. 








Jane worked as a civilian with the United States Navy and the Department of Defense as a Staffing Specialist. She was a member of the Thalia Lynn Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia where she was the pianist for many years. Playing the piano was a source of great happiness for her. Music brought joy and peace to her heart. Jane was also a dedicated Baylor fan and enjoyed watching the Bears play sports.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Jacqui Johnson and her husband Kevin, of Carthage, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jack Whitlow.

Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Thalia Lynn Baptist Church, 4392 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23462.

Katherine Robinson

Katherine M. “Ball” Robinson, 95, passed away August 23, 2020 in Carthage, Missouri. Katherine was born March 11, 1925 in Holyoke, MN to Thomas Arthur Ball and Margaret “Heinz” Ball. 

She was a homemaker and made bombs during World War II and also worked as a meat wrapper before she started to have a family. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Katherine volunteered at the Mercy-McCune Brooks Hospital for over 40 years in the gift shop and the front desk as well as the Red Cross. 

Katherine was united in marriage to Charles J. Robinson June 16, 1945 in Minneapolis Minnesota, he preceded her in death October 16, 1991. 








Katherine is survived by one daughter Kathy Parker (Terry) of Carthage, MO, one son Danny Charles Robinson (Lisa) of Webb City, MO. seven grandchildren; Karena Boyd, Charles Glenn Robinson III, Joseph Kelly Robinson, Timothy Adron Robinson, Janae E. Robinson, Hannah M. Robinson, Morgan Elizabeth Robinson, four great grandchildren; Peyton Adamson, Liam Adamson, Brayden Harris, Greyson Palmer-Robinson, one brother Sylvester Ball, numerous nieces and nephews. 

Katherine is preceded by her parents and her husband, one sister; Margaret S. Ball, three brothers; Irwin Ball, Earl Ball, and Gordon Ball. 

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday August 28, 2020 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday August 27, 2020 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Park Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.

Kelly Reynolds

Kelly Dawn Ipock Reynolds, 43 passed away August 22, 2020. Kelly was born June 12th 1977 in San Diego, California. 

She was an office professional for the State of Missouri Department of Mental Health. She loved spending time in nature, crafting, and writing poems. 

Kelly was kind and loved helping others. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. 








Kelly is survived by her parents Dan Ipock and Susan “Jones” Tuomala, children; Gannon and fiancĂ© Katie, Zoe and son Greyson, Tyler and wife Annie, and grandsons Caleb and Jacob, sister Crystal and children Addison, Bryce and Cyrys, brother Daniel wife Kallie and children Jacee, Jenna, and Jada.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 30th, at 1pm, at Central Park, in Carthage, MO. 714 S Garrison Ave, Carthage, MO 64836. Social distancing will be possible in this setting. Brenda Holt

Brenda Louise “Sour” Holt, 67, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2020 at her home in Mt. Vernon, MO. Brenda was born November 15, 1952 in Joplin, MO to Darrell E. and Barbara “Huddleston” Sour. 

She was a homemaker, a longtime resident of Mt. Vernon, but lived in Carl Junction prior to her move, and a member of the Jehovah Witness Church. She was baptized June 23, 1973.

Brenda was united in marriage to Louis Holt on March 17, 1969 in Reddings Mill, MO; he survives. 








Brenda is also survived by one son, Christopher Holt (Jammie) of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Jennifer Vaughn (David) of Findlay, OH; four grandchildren, Amanda Holt, Thomas Holt, James Vaughn and Nicholas Vaughn; two sisters, Angelia Sour DeWitt (Bob) of Rogers, AR and Elaina Sour Soper (John) of Gravette, AR.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Darrell Keith Sour; and one sister Cindy Sour Kerr.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2020 at Park Cemetery.

Stephen Harper

Stephen Carter Harper, 70, Neosho, MO entered into rest August 24, 2020. He was born April 10, 1950 in Neosho to Lena (Edwards) and Cecil Harper. 

Stephen was a car salesman at K & K Motors in Bentonville, AR. He enjoyed bush hogging, working on his hobby farm, race cars, watching boxing, fishing, and taking drives. 

Stephen and Cynthia J. (Conner) Harper were married August 21, 1986 in Ft. Scott, KS; Cynthia survives of the home. 








He is also survived by four children, Stephen Harper and wife, Lisa of Pea Ridge, AR, Matt Rice and wife, Lisa of Cassville, MO, Michael Harper of Franklin, TX, and Chris Harper and wife, Nicole of Powell, MO; one brother, Larry Harper and wife, Susan of Columbia, MO; one sister, Linda Franklin and husband, Gene of Neosho, MO; eleven grandchildren, Alisha Simpson, Aimee Harper, Hayley Earp, Emily Earp, Shelby Earp, Emily Rice, Conner Rice, Hayley Harper, Kenzie Brittian, Corben Harper, and Karter Harper; and one great grandchild, Ophelia Mae Griffin. 

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob Hagood

Robert E. Hagood was born February 9, 1933 in Norman, Oklahoma, the son of Royal and Mary (Atteway) Hagood. He entered into rest on August 23, 2020 at his home in Neosho, following an extended illness at the age of 87. 

Bob attended school at Goodman High School and in November 1951, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served until his retirement in January 1972. Following his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, he worked as an industrial electrician. He enjoyed fishing, walking long distances and was an avid golfer. He played golf courses all over the United States and was a longtime member of the Neosho Men's Golf Association. 

Bob married Betty (Nims) on October 10, 1952 and she preceded him in death on February 9, 1990. He then married Sharon Adams and she preceded him in death in 2015. 








He is survived by two children, Barbara (Mike) Snow of Neosho and Robert Hagood, Pioneer, Missouri; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; stepdaughter, Christy Brooks and her son, Josh of Russellville, Arkansas. 

He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Sue Hagood, one sister and four brothers.
