Grace Ann McIntire

Grace Ann McIntire, 66, of Joplin, Missouri, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus in the early morning hours of September 3, 2026. She was born May 2, 1960, in Joplin to Everett and Yvonne McIntire, who preceded her in death.

Grace Ann worked for the Jasper County Collector’s Office for 24 years, where her coworkers became family. A lifelong attendee of Joplin Calvary Nazarene, her faith in Jesus remained steadfast throughout her life.

Grace Ann never had children of her own, but she mothered many, generously giving her time, love, treats, gifts, and special cards to the children in her life. She loved puzzles, reading, greeting cards, Dr Pepper, and never met a Walmart she didn’t like.

Grace Ann is survived by her siblings, Everett (Kim) McIntire and Sharon (Mark) deJong; nieces Janessa (Kyle) Dailey, Alex (Josh) Willis, and Nicole (DJ) Famiglietti; great-nephews Phoenix Willis, Archer Famiglietti, and Pieter Famiglietti; and great-nieces Everley Willis and Moira Famiglietti.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 9, at 9:00 a.m. at Joplin Calvary Nazarene, 2802 S. Connecticut Ave., with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Banner Cemetery, in Anderson, Mo.

 

Roger Rounds

Roger Lynn Rounds, age 55, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 4, 2026.

Roger was born on July 10, 1971, in Blair, Nebraska, to Hershel and Mary (Rhoten) Rounds Sr. He graduated from Missouri Valley Community School District High School in Missouri Valley, Iowa, in 1989.

Roger proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, carrying with him the strength, determination, and pride that came with his service.

Throughout his life, Roger had a true passion for motorcycles, motocross, cars, and the freedom of the open road. He enjoyed anything with wheels and an engine and loved the excitement and adventure that came with riding and being outdoors. These passions were an important part of who Roger was and provided him with many cherished memories.

Above all else, Roger treasured his family. He was a loving and devoted father, and his daughter was truly the light of his life. The love and pride he had for her was evident to all who knew him. His family meant everything to him, and the memories they made together will be treasured forever. Roger was a phenomenal uncle who loved his nieces and nephews dearly. They held a very special place in his heart and were like his own children. He treasured the time he spent with them, always taking an interest in their lives and making memories they will carry with them forever. His love, laughter, guidance, and presence in their lives will be deeply missed. To his nieces and nephews, Uncle Roger was not just an uncle he was someone they could count on, someone who loved them unconditionally, and a cherished part of their lives.

Roger will be remembered for his love of family, his adventurous spirit, his passion for motorcycles and cars, and the lasting impression he made on those fortunate enough to know him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

Roger is survived by his mother, Mary Keeven of Cassville, Missouri; his daughter, Emma Rounds of Cassville, Missouri; three brothers, John Rounds and his wife Candice of Monett, Missouri, Ricky Keeven of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Shawn Keeven and his fiancé Erika Porras of Cassville, Missouri; and his significant other Brianna Bettencourt of Cassville, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews, Nick Rounds, Lexie Rounds, Malyea Henderson, Josie Keeven, Jax Keeven, Casyn Rounds, Jade Gundersen, Manson Bonham and Madilyn Bonham.

He is preceded in death by his father John Keeven, and one brother Herkey Rounds.

Memorials may be made to his daughter Emma Rounds and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at White Funeral Home and Crematory, with Benji Morgan officiating. Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.

Robert Stout

Robert Dale Stout, 72 years of age, of Noel, Missouri passed away from this earth on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in his home. He was born on November 28, 1953, in Borger, Texas to the late Joyce Aagesen and John Robert “JR” Stout. He spent the early years of his life growing up in Dumas, Texas until at the age of 12, when he moved to Anderson, Missouri with his family in 1965. 

He began his adult life running a Tom’s peanut route and eventually made his first career at the McDonald County Press as a photographer and Advertising Sign designer. He spent the later years of his life at Tyson Foods in Noel, Missouri as a Quality Assurance Technician. He also spent time doing things for the community and served as a north ward alderman for Noel, Missouri. 

Robert was preceded in death by his biological mother Joyce Horton; his father John Robert “JR” Stout and Step Mother Mary Jo Stout; his son Neal Allen Stout; a brother Kerry Wayne Stout; a sister Linda Wilson; and a brother Joe Platter.

Robert is survived by his children: Michael Stout and his wife Heather of Gravette, Arkansas; Tausha Jones of Exeter, Missouri; Keri Stout of Goodman, Missouri; and Makayla Stout of Noel, Missouri. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Brock, Riley and Ava Stout of Gravette, Arkansas; Kaelyn Pogue of Exeter, Missouri; Athena Johnson of Goodman, Missouri, and Josiah Dale Blunk. He is also survived by his siblings: Lanny Stout of Frankfort, Ohio; Sharon Wright of Neosho, Missouri; Donna Myers of Anderson, Missouri; Tracy Seals of Las Vegas, Nevada. Also, surviving Robert were several nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as a host of friends who will miss him greatly. 

Robert was the proudest father and grandfather. His hobbies and interests included playing games particularly Solitaire on his laptop, cooking, gardening, photography, bowling and caring for his pet fish. He was a big fan of old shows, movies, and music with “Change the world” by Eric Clapton being his favorite song. His love of photography was always a big part of who he was; he had a talent of finding the perfect camera angle and would wait until the slightest overcast to capture the most perfect little moment in time. His gift was in being able to always see the right picture, and that's how he saw the good in everyone. We should all try to be more like that. Robert also loved hosting cook outs, and enjoyed waking his children up with the smell of his famous breakfast cooking in the kitchen. He was also very knowledgeable about birds and was a botany enthusiast. He loved to point out birds, trees, and plants and educate us on what they were called. He really enjoyed pranking everyone or playfully surprising us by startling us or throwing snapper poppers unexpectedly. Robert was always dedicated in life to his family and to his careers. The lessons he taught us all will live on in our hearts; to always live life and love others no matter what obstacles life throws your way. He always chose to work hard, to play hard, and to enjoy the little moments in life. He was an amazing man and friend to so many people. His big heart, humor, kindness, and smile will be missed immensely.

Mo Dodge

Melissa Sue Dodge, known lovingly to family and friends as Mo, passed away on September 2, 2026, in Seneca, Missouri, at the age of 56.

She was born on August 31, 1970, in Marshall, Arkansas, and lived a life marked by kindness, devotion, and quiet strength. She was known as a loving and thoughtful person, and those qualities were reflected in the way she treated her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mo graduated from Witt Springs high School in 1989. She spent her working years in hospitality and housekeeping, where her dependable nature and caring spirit were evident in the service she provided. She approached her work with pride and a strong sense of duty, and she was respected for her steady presence and willingness to help wherever she was needed.

Family and friends were at the center of Mo's life, and she treasured the time she spent with those she loved. She enjoyed telling stories and sharing memories that brought laughter and connection to those around her. One of the great joys of her life was riding motorcycles with her husband, Bruce, and she cherished the adventure and companionship they shared on those rides. These moments reflected the warmth and joy that she brought into the lives of others.

Though she may have come in a small package, she carried the biggest heart. Her love, kindness and warmth filled every room and touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She may have been small in stature, but the love she gave was larger than life and will remain in our hearts forever.

She leaves behind her brother, William Lawrence of Seneca, Missouri; her sisters, Betty Lawrence of Dennard, Arkansas, and Ula Vandyne and Chris of Welcome Home, Arkansas; her nieces, Nikki Norwood and Nicholas of Gilbert, Louisiana, Krystal Vandyne and Stacey of Magazine, Arkansas, and Jessica Roberts of Dennard, Arkansas; and her nephews, Eli Roberts of Dennard, Arkansas, and Emmanuel Lawrence of Seneca, Missouri as well as a host of family and friends she was honored to know. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Ula Lawrence, and her husband, Bruce Dodge.

Mo will be remembered for her loving heart, her thoughtful nature, and the genuine care she showed to those closest to her. Her life was one of simple but meaningful gifts, including loyalty, laughter, and the comfort of family. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Robert McKee

Robert Franklin McKee, 70, of Barling, Arkansas, formerly of Southwest City, Missouri, passed away on September 1, 2026.

Robert was born November 28, 1955, in Missouri to Drury Franklin “Frank” McKee and Wilma Louise McKee. He graduated from high school in 1973 and spent much of his working life with Hudson Foods, where he worked as a diesel mechanic and later served for many years as shop manager. After leaving Hudson Foods, he continued his career working in parts sales.

While living in Southwest City, Robert was generous with his time and served his community in many ways. He spent many years as a volunteer firefighter with the Southwest City Fire Department and gave countless summer hours as a volunteer umpire for the Southwest City summer ball program.

To those who knew him, Robert was a kind, mild-mannered, patient, and loving man. But perhaps his greatest legacy is the kind of father he was.

He was a dad who showed up.

He was there for spelling bees, band events, countless practices and games, and all of the milestones and ordinary moments that make up a childhood. From the sidelines and bleachers, he proudly watched his children compete in their sports through the years, including following Andy’s basketball career into college. Later, he continued that same tradition with his grandchildren, showing up for their basketball, football, baseball, and other activities and for the things that mattered to them. Even as life changed and his family changed, his love and involvement in his children’s lives did not. He was supportive, dependable, and endlessly proud of his children, and he made sure they knew it.

Robert enjoyed staying active and had a lifelong love of sports and the outdoors. He was an avid golfer, bowled in leagues, played co-ed slow-pitch softball, and spent many days fishing. He was also a devoted sports fan who loved cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks and Kansas City Chiefs and following both the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Drury Franklin “Frank” McKee and Wilma Louise McKee; his great-grandson, Riley Sage; and his step-grandson, Jace McRorey.

He is survived by his wife, Brucinda; his children, Amy (Eric) Lance, Darla Burgener, Robby (Carla) McKee, and Andy (Maddy) McKee; his stepdaughters, Brandi (Jake) McRorey and Ashley (Anthony) Fry; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three step-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary (Larry) Shields and Jimmy (Kathy) McKee.

Robert’s family will remember many things about him, but above all, they will remember how deeply he loved them. He was the kind of father whose presence could be counted on, whose pride in his children was never in question, and whose kindness and patience left a lasting impression on the people he loved.

For his children, there was never any question: he was simply the best dad.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Full Gospel Ruth Life Center in Southwest City, Missouri. Family and friends are invited to gather together to remember and celebrate Robert’s life. Daddy wouldn't have wanted a formal gathering, please feel free to wear your favorite sports attire.

Ila Geyer

Ila Louise Geyer, age 47, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at her home in Cassville, MO with her precious family by her side. She was born in Fort Hood, TX on Sunday, May 27, 1979; daughter of Jimmy Lashley and Sandra (Paden) Lashley. 

She was a 1997 graduate of Aurora High School and received her education degree from Missouri Southern State University (MSSU). Later, she completed two Master's degrees; one in curriculum and instruction and one in mathematics. 

Ila married Carl Geyer, Jr. on Thursday, September 3, 1998, in Eureka Springs, AR. They had one beautiful daughter, Kelsi Rose Geyer, who Ila adored. Ila enjoyed traveling to Disney Parks and going on Disney Cruises. She liked crafting and painting and was very creative. Ila had so much love for people and animals. She especially loved her puppies and cats. She also liked turtles and "Stitch." 

Ila spent seventeen years in public education, teaching in Monett and Cassville. She taught at the elementary and secondary level and always enjoyed watching her students learn and get excited about new concepts. Ila was a very selfless, giving person who cared so much about others. Even in her later days, she was worried about everyone else and wanted them to be happy. Ila most treasured time with her family. She touched many lives and will be missed by many! 

Surviving are the following: her husband, Carl Geyer, Jr. of Cassville, MO; daughter, Kelsi Rose Geyer and fiancé Andruw Jones of Independence, MO; father, Jimmy Lashley and wife Gia of Bartow, FL; brother, Richard Lashley of Springfield, MO; uncle and aunt, Larry and Renee Paden of Lawrenceville, GA; mother-in-law, Kathy Geyer of Cassville, MO; sister-in-law, Christina Phillips and husband Aaron of Lee's Summit; nephew and niece, Carter and Aubrey Phillips of Lee's Summit; as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles on her husband's side; and many friends.

Ila was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Lashley; father-in-law, Carl Geyer, Sr; and a grandmother, Louise Paden.

Ila has been cremated at her request. The family will have private services at a later date. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.

Roger Cogbill

Roger Dale Cogbill, 76. Peacefully passed from this world on Friday September 4, 2026. He was the second of four children born to Earl W. and Betty ( Harbaugh) Cogbill on January 15, 1950 in Joplin. He was a graduate of Joplin High School class of 1968. 

Like most of the men in his graduating class he was expecting and finally received an “invite” to join his Uncle Sam. Before he received his “invite” to join the military he met, dated and married Marlene Shanks. They were wed on October 10, 1969. 

Less than a month later Roger was off to Basic Training. After completing Basic he had the great fortune of being stationed in beautiful Fort Bliss just outside of El Paseo, TX. His wife was soon able to join him and the young couple enjoyed the deserts drastically different scenery. His last duty station was at Fort Riley, Kansas.

After being honorably discharged from the US Army the young couple stayed in Manhattan, KS. By 1973 he was ready to really settle down and start his family. He and his wife moved back to Joplin and welcomed their first child in early 1974. Then in 1976 they welcomed their second child and with his family complete, he settled into the business and challenges of family life.

Roger started his working career at Fleming Foods and stayed with them until they closed the Joplin warehouse. In the early 2000’s with an empty nest Roger and Marlene sold their home in Joplin and moved to Anderson, Mo with Indian Creek for their backyard! They bought “The Water House “ for a place to host family and friends and host they did. Countless children and adults were given a chance to catch their first fish, tadpole, or crawdad. The fire pit at the water house was the central gathering place, many of the worlds toughest problems were solved there but the proper way to start, maintain, and extinguish a fire is a question that will never be answered. After nearly 20 years at the creek Roger made the decision to move back to Joplin. He found a house that was easier to maintain and with fewer stairs.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Greg, and Eric Cogbill, sisters’-in-law Melinda Shanks and Betty Smart and brother-in-law Kenny McKnight.

His survivors include his loving wife of 56 years; children Brian and wife Amber, Jennifer Cogbill; grandchildren Misty DeFir and husband Clayton, Ryley Cogbill, and Cade Cogbill; great grandchildren Taira and Winter; sister Niela McKnight, brother-in-law Randy Shanks and wife Dana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Per his instructions: “a traditional memorial service just isn’t my style”. So to honor his request a come and go reception is scheduled for Monday September 7, 2026, from 2 pm to 6 pm at Randy and Dana’s home. Reach out to our family for directions and further details.
