Billy J. 'Pop' Galloway, age 83, Joplin, passed away at 10:23 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at his residence after an illness.
Bill was born February 24, 1932 in Harper, Kansas.
He worked in sales at Farmhand Industries at several locations throughout the country. Bill was a member of the shrine club and masonic lodge. He was a faithful and longtime member of the Retreads Motorcycle Club. Bill was also a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.
He married Janice Dawes on July 3, 1976 in Wichita, Kansas. She preceded him in death on December 19, 2014.
Survivors include a step son, Randy Brown, Joplin; a sister, Virginia Honig, Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, Erynn, Emylee, Shaun, Christopher; and two great grandchildren, Lylee and Mason.
Bill has been taken for cremation.
Family memorial services are being planned for a later date.
