Gloria Beagle

Gloria Beagle age 82, of Joplin, Missouri returned to the Lord Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at National Health Care following an illness.

She was born January 26, 1933 in Webb City, Missouri to the late Clyde and Ethel (Cooper) Beagle.

Gloria held a Master’s Degree plus 13 hours toward her Doctorate in Education and was a teacher for thirty-six years. She served as Pastor at the Presbyterian Church in Scammon, Kansas from August 1991 to January 2004. Most recently she was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Joplin, Missouri. Gloria graduated from the former St. Peter’s High School, Joplin, Missouri. She had the honor to be baptized with water from the River Jordan. One of her most prized possessions were her books and she loved sharing them with people. She loved dogs and had a special way with all animals. She’ll be greatly missed by her cat Molly.

She is survived by many close friends including; Laurie and Jim Edward, of St. Louis, Sharon and John Reeve, Marilyn Edwards, Dale and Betty Williams, and Rob Taylor, all of Joplin, Missouri.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Joplin, Missouri, with Father Justin Monaghan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Missouri. A Prayer Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary with a visitation to follow.
