Norma Dene Foster, age 88, Joplin, passed away at 11:53 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Wildwood Ranch after an illness.
Dene was born July 9, 1926 in Couch, Missouri to the late John Harris and Viola Roy Harris and had lived in Joplin most of her life.
A homemaker, she was a former member of Royal Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed her trips to play BINGO and BUNCO.
She married John Foster on March 20, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1985.
Dene was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Foster; a granddaughter, Kimberly Spicer; two sisters, Lena Barton and Tavy Waters; and one brother, Gilbert Harris.
Survivors include a son, James Foster and his wife, Marcia, Joplin; one grandson, John Foster; two great grandchildren, Shawndra Brasier and Dylan Spicer; and three great great grandchildren, Kaden, Maekenzee and Jackson Brasier.
Services are planned for Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Phil Owens will officiate. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday from 6-7:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
