Cleo Irene Monson McWhorter, 90, Neosho, died June 2, 2015.
Cleo was born July 18, 1924 in Thief River Falls, MN. She worked as a laboratory technician during WW II and later worked for Public Service Company of Oklahoma in Tulsa until her retirement in 1996. She then moved to Neosho to be near her daughter and extended family. Cleo was an avid bridge player and member of the Neosho Women’s Bridge Club; she was an excellent pie baker, enjoyed walking, working in the yard and spending time with family. Cleo and Carl Odell
McWhorter were married on November 11, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Adele Haas and son in law, Jeff; her son, Kevin Jay McWhorter and daughter in law, Josephine; grandchildren, Jennifer Haas Ludiker and husband, Randy and Sam Haas and wife, Jackie. She will be fondly remembered by nine great grandchildren, Andrew Jones, Ryleigh and Charlotte Ludiker, Jeffrey and Landon Haas, Caden and Henry Cooper and Arli and Michael Kwiatkowski
At her request, Cleo has been taken for cremation and a private memorial service will be held at a later date in Thief River, MN
